MILL HOUSES

Slowly darkness fades away,
Gentle morning takes its place.
Sunlight streams between the trees
Sparkling on the river’s face.

Slowly darkness fades away,
Sweet songs from birds aloft
Float gently to the river’s edge,
So golden and so soft.

Slowly darkness fades away,
Soon the villagers awake,
And lifting songs of praise,
Begin another day.

“It felt very warm and cozy. The [colour] orange makes it beautiful!”

Have you ever been so excited by a beautiful day or an important event that made you want to write it down?  Have you tried writing your ideas down in a Poem?  In a short story?  Try it today! (it doesn’t even have to be a painting like Sarah Davidson’s inspiration…)
